Warleigh Weir is one of the most beloved wild swimming spots in England — a shallow, pebble-bedded stretch of the River Avon set in a wooded valley just outside Bath. The water is typically clear and refreshing, with a natural weir pool perfect for cold water immersion.
The Bath chapter meets every Sunday at 8am. Sessions typically involve a 20-30 minute dip, followed by warmth, breathwork and conversation. The spot is accessible on foot from a small car park on Warleigh Lane — a 10-minute walk through fields.

Park on the grass verge opposite Ferry Lane by 7:45am. Walk down through the field to the weir. Look for the group on the gravel bank by the main weir pool.
The River Avon can rise significantly after heavy rain. We never dip in flood conditions or when the weir is overflowing strongly. Our chapter lead checks conditions before every session. After heavy rainfall, check our latest update on Instagram @icebreakers.hq before making the journey. Always dip with the group — never alone.
No booking required. Just turn up at Warleigh Weir at 8am on any Sunday. The chapter lead will be there. Everyone is welcome.
