Highgate Men's Pond, Hampstead Heath

Highgate Men's Pond is one of London's most iconic outdoor swimming spots — a spring-fed natural pond tucked into the ancient woodland of Hampstead Heath. It has been a place of men's outdoor bathing for over 100 years.

The North London chapter meets early on Wednesdays, before the working day begins. The pond opens at 7am for members. Our session starts as the gate opens — a 30-minute dip, warm up, and you're back on the Northern line by 8:30.

Getting there

Postcode for sat nav: N6 6EP. Nearest tube: East Finchley (Northern line), 10-minute walk. The pond is in the east of Hampstead Heath. Follow signs from the car park.
